Swedish painter and botanist Rolf Lidberg is known worldwide for its good illustrations of trolls. Rolf Lidberg Jonas (Rolf Jonas Lidberg), was born on May 26, 1930 in Liden, Medelpad and died on 15 February 2005 at the age of 74. Great enthusiasm the artist was botany, especially orchids and mushrooms. He was one of the founders of Sundsvall (Sundsvalls) mycological society. Many traveled to Europe to study and paint plants, long time spent in Sicily, where he became an honorary citizen of the city of Geraci (Geraci). Lidberg himself hunchback, with a big beard, often went whistling another illustration called him - self-portrait.
